We are a self-serve studio rental space in St. Paul!
Our 1,500 sq ft studio is designed for creatives, families, and brands looking for a beautiful, flexible space to bring their vision to life. We can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 30 people and offer a variety of curated setups, vibrant backdrops, professional studio lighting, and props—all included in one simple price.
We are a self-serving studio, which means there is no staff onsite during your session. This allows you full creative freedom and privacy while using the space at your own pace. Don’t worry—you’re never alone! Our team is always available by call or text during your booking should you need assistance, have questions, or run into anything unexpected. Create freely, move comfortably, and enjoy a thoughtfully designed studio built to support your creative moments.

Her Canvas Studio’s mission is to empower creators by providing a fully equipped, thoughtfully designed studio where creativity feels easy and accessible. We exist to remove the stress of setup so photographers and artists can focus on creating meaningful, beautiful work in a space that feels inspiring and welcoming.
Our vision is to become a creative home for artists and storytellers, where community, imagination, and opportunity come together. We aim to build a space that inspires growth, confidence, and collaboration while shaping a future where creativity is accessible, valued, and celebrated.
Our Space
Our studio is about 1500 sq ft. Here are a few things that's included when you book with us:

Tons of props (ex. different couches, chairs, flowers, candles, and stools)
1 Strobe light on wheels(Compatible with Nikon, Canon, and Sony)
2 continuous light stand
4 different color backdrops All setups available
This studio has beautiful natural lighting that comes in from both large side windows. Restroom available on same level.

FAQs
What do we have access to when we book your studio?
You will have private access to our entire 1,500 sq ft studio, including all staged setups, props, lighting, and color backdrops.
How do we access the studio after booking?
Once your booking is confirmed, we will send a studio access email the day before your session with entry instructions.
Do you have wheelchair access and an elevator?
Yes. Our studio is wheelchair accessible through the back of the building and includes access to a freight elevator.
Can we bring food and drinks?
Yes. You are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy during your session. Please be sure to clean up after yourself before leaving.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. All pets are welcome at no additional cost. Dogs must be kept on a leash when not being photographed.
How many people are allowed in the studio?
Up to 30 people are allowed in the studio at one time.
How often do you change your setups?
Our setups typically change seasonally during spring, fall, and winter. Summer setups usually remain similar to our spring look.
What is your refund policy?
We understand that life happens. One time refunds are allowed if you notify us at least 48 hours before your session. Otherwise, you are always welcome to reschedule.

She was communicative and the studio is big with lots of photo opportunities with different backgrounds. Lighting provided and a nice changing area. The studio is clean and was all set for us when we arrived. Parking is gravel but there is enough parking for my family.

If you want a place that has different backgrounds without traveling to a different location for a beautiful set of "different" photos, then this is the place! I had my maternity shoot here and it was beautiful! The owner is sweet and easy to work with! Will definitely be checking them out again!

This studio has become one of my favorites to shoot in. It's reasonably priced, spacious, there's a ton of natural light to work with and so many different props to use for a range of concepts!
